CAPTAIN ALFRED WILLIAMS grew up in the southern Belize District of
Stann Creek, in the village of Monkey River. As a 'free diver,' fisherman and boat operator Capt.
Williams has played, swam and dove the southern waters of Belize all of his
life.
Today Capt. Williams earns his living doing what comes naatural and what he knows best: diving
for lobster and fishing the Belizean waters. The waters around Placencia, southward to Dangriga
and Punta Gorda are famous for permit fishing.
However, in these waters Captain Williams knows one will also find barracuda, snook, king mackerel, black, red, yellowfin
and tiger grouper, tarpon, black and yellowfin tuna, bones, cubera, gray, yellowtail snappers, wahoo and crevalle jack. Some of the best
trolling, light tackle and saltwater fly fishing anywhere in the world can be found in the waters of Southern
Belize. A fishing trip under the expertise guidance of Captain Williams is sure to be an experience of
